This Documentary presents comprehensive historical facts that led to the unending plethora of over 100 published versionsof the English Bible. These continual but unsuccessfulattempts to replace the King James Version KJV Bible will not succeed because GOD Himselfpreserves and protects His Holy Scriptures from all heresy, blasphemy, compromise and confusion.

THE BEST ENGLISH BIBLE TRANSLATION

GOD’S WORD (Immutable, Unchanged and Unchangeable, God breathed, Self-Authenticating. Providentially Preserved and Protected.  Forever Settled in Heaven, Psalm 119:89) The Authorized King James Bible

Which Bible Is  The Best?   David Hocking (60 min,)

The Immutable,  God Inspired [breathed] ,Preserved, Protected and Infinite Holy Bible of God,.s  Sacred. Scripture

 (8 min.)

The problem is not with translating the Bible into the English language. The problem occurs  and continues to exist due to additional erroneous  or heretical Greek  or Hebrew texts  created by men. who  believe  themselves competent,  to influence, hence change the Word of God.

To believe God’s Word  is changeable or unsettled is folly, if not blasphemy.

For ever, O Lord, thy Word is  settled in  heaven. Psalms 119:89

[The Textus Receptus (Received Text) was rendered from 5,321 extant Greek manuscripts known as the Majority Text  MT. These manuscripts overwhelmingly agree with one

another and do not contain error or heretical biases found in the Greek Text of Westcott & Hort, Nestle & Aland or Codex Vaticanus

The Foundational support of these rhree Greek Texts is from only 55 hand-picked  manuscripts from the extant Majority Text instead of all 5,321.

PRAYER 11:  UNDER THE BLOOD    Part 1 of 10

JEHOVAH our God, we thank Thee for leaving on record the story of Thine ancient people. It is full of instruction to ourselves. Help us to take its warning to avoid the faults into which they fell! Thou art a covenant God, and Thou keepest [keep] Thy promises and Thy Word never faileth [fails]. We have proved this so, hitherto: [already]—

“Thus far we find that promise good, Which Jesus ratified with blood.”

But as for ourselves we are like Israel of old, a fickle [foolish] people, and, we confess it with great shame, there are days when we take the timbrel [tambourine] and we sing with Miriam

“unto the Lord who triumphed gloriously;”

and yet, we grieve to say it, not many hours after, we are thirsty, and we cry for water, and we, murmur [complain, whine] in our tents; the brackish Marah [salty water] turns our heart and we are grieved with our God.

Sometimes we bow before Thee with reverence and awe when we behold Thy Sinai altogether on a
*smoke; but there have been times when we have set up the golden calf and we have said of some earthly things,

“These be Thy gods, O Israel.”

We believe with intensity of faith and then doubt with a horribleness of doubt.

[Deliver us O lord from doubt in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ] Amen.

(Attachment: PRAYER 11.doc)

*  “And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.” Exodus 19:18

ANECDOTE  211:   A Father’s Heart.

When King Henry II., in the ages gone by, was provoked to take up arms against his un grateful and rebellious son, he besieged him in one of the French towns, and the son, being near unto death, desired to see his father and confess his wrongdoing; but the stern old sire refused to look the rebel in the face. The young man, being sorely troubled in his conscience, said to those about him, “I am dying ; take me from my bed, and let me lie in sackcloth and ashes, in token of my sorrow for my ingratitude to my father.”  Thus he died, and when the tidings came to the old man outside the walls, that his boy had died in ashes, repentant for his rebellion, he threw himself upon the earth, like another David, and said,

“Would God I had died for him.”

The thought of his boy’s broken heart touched the heart of the father. If ye, being evil, are overcome by your children’s tears, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven find in your bemoanings [sorrow]  and confessions an argument for the display of his pardoning love through Christ Jesus our Lord.

FAITH’S CHECKBOOK  FEBRUARY 28   REAL ESTATE IN HEAVEN   C.H. Spurgeon 1834—1892

-Knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance—Hebrews 10:34
Conociendo que teneis en vosotros una mejor sustancia en los cielos, y que  permanence—Hebreos 10:34

This is well. Our substance here is very insubstantial; there is no substance in it. But God has given us a promise of real estate in the glory-land, and that promise comes to our hearts with such full assurance of its certainty, that we know in ourselves that we have an enduring substance there.

Yes, -we have it- even now. They say, -A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush-; but we have our bird in the bush and in the hand too. Heaven is even now our own. We have the title-deed of it, we have the earnest [guarantee] of it, we have the first fruits [evidence] of it.

We have Heaven in price, in promise, and in principle: this we know not only by the hearing of the ear, but -in ourselves.-

Should not the thought of the better substance on the other side of Jordan reconcile us to present losses? Our spending-money we may lose, but our treasure is safe. We have lost the shadows, but the substance remains, for our *Savior lives, and the place which He has prepared for us abides. There is a better land, a better substance, a better promise; and all this comes to us by a better covenant [divine promise]; wherefore, let us be in better spirits, and say unto the Lord,

-Every day will I bless thee; and praise thy name for ever and ever-

*English USA spelling

Prayer: Thank you Lord that we may Know, in ourselves, that we have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. Help us to receive this assurance for Your name’s  sake I pray, Amen.

MORNING  February   28

My expectation is from Him." —Psalm 62:5

 â”€De él es mi esperanza—Salmos 62:5

IT is the believer's privilege to use this language. If he is looking for anything from the world, it is a poor "expectation" indeed. But if he looks to God for the supply of his wants, whether in temporal [here and now] or [eternal] spiritual blessings, his "expectation" will not be a vain [fruitless] one.

Constantly he may draw from the bank of faith and get his need supplied out of the riches of God's loving-kindness. I know this, I would rather have God for my banker than all the Rothschilds.

My Lord never fails to honor his promises; and when we bring them to His throne, He never sends them back unanswered. Therefore I will wait only at His door, for He ever opens it with the hand of munificent [magnanimous, more than generous] grace. At this hour I will try him anew.

But we have "expectations" beyond this life. We shall die soon; and then our "expectation is from Him." Do we not expect that when we lie upon the bed of sickness, He will send angels to carry us to His bosom [into His arms] ?   We believe that when the pulse is faint, and the heart heaves heavily, some angelic messenger shall [may] stand and look with loving eyes on us, and whisper,

"Sister spirit, come away!"

As we approach the heavenly gate, we expect to hear the welcome invitation, "Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world."

We are expecting harps of gold and crowns of glory; we are hoping soon to be among the multitude of shining ones before the throne; we are looking forward and longing for the time when we shall be like our glorious Lord—for

"We shall see Him as He is."

Then if these are your "expectations," O my soul, live for God; live with the desire and resolve to glorify Him from whom all your supplies come, and of whose grace in your election, redemption, and calling, it is [His  grace] that you have any "expectation" of coming glory.

EVENING   February   28

"The barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail [run out] , according to the word of the Lord, which He spake by Elijah." —1 Kings 17:16
Y la tinaja de la harina no escaseó, ni menguó la botija del aceite, conforme á la palabra de Jehová que había dicho por Elías. —1 Reyes 17:16

SEE the faithfulness of divine love. You observe that this woman had daily necessities. She had herself and her son to feed in a time of famine; and now, in addition, the prophet Elijah was to be fed too.

But though the need was threefold [tripled], yet the supply of meal did not diminish, for she had a constant supply. Each day she made calls upon [took meal from]  the barrel, yet each day it remained the same [did not diminish].

You, dear reader, have daily necessities, and because they come so frequently you are apt to fear that the barrel of meal will one day be empty or the cruse of oil will fail you. Rest assured that, according to the Word of God, this will not be the case [won’t happen]. Each day, though it bring its trouble, will bring its help; and though you should live to outnumber the years of Methuselah,  [969 years]  and though your needs should be as many as the sands of the seashore, yet God's grace and mercy will last through all your necessities. You will never know a real lack.

For three long years, in this widow's day, the heavens never saw a cloud, and the stars never wept a holy tear of dew upon the wicked earth. Famine and desolation and death made the land a howling wilderness, but this woman never was hungry, but always joyful in abundance. So shall it be with you. You will see the sinner's hope perish [fail], for he trusts his native strength; you will see the proud Pharisee's confidence totter [move in a feeble or unsteady way], for he builds his hope upon the sand; you will see even your own schemes blasted and withered, but you yourself will find that

your place of defense will be the munition [fort] of rocks:

"Your bread shall be given you, and your water shall be sure." Better have God for your guardian, than the Bank of England [or any other Bank] for your possession. You might spend the wealth of the [West] Indies, but you

can never exhaust the infinite riches of God.

A SINNER’S PRAYER: … FOR WHOSOEVER:

Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

Call on the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved … pray like this, won’t you?

“Lord Jesus, I’m a lost sinner and without You I am lost. I can’t save myself. Without your death on the cross to pay my sin debt I would be condemned to spend eternity in Hell. My nature and behavior has been sinful from birth. Please forgive me.

I realize that doing my best, being as good as possible, or being better than other people can never save me. . I’m sorry for each and every sin I have ever done and look to You to forgive them all.

I look to You, alone Lord Jesus to save me.

I call on You, Lord Jesus, right now to save me. You died on the cross for me, as God’s sacrifice for my sin.

Right now, just as I am, I call on You, Lord Jesus to save me, I trust You to be my Savior and Lord.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You have forgiven me of all my sins. I want to follow You from now on.

You paid the price for all of my sins by dying on the cross.

Thank you, Lord Jesus that You loved me and died for me before I was born and that You love me still

Thank you, Heavenly Father, that You called me away from sin and death into the Life everlasting in Your only begotten son, the Lord Jesus.

Thank You, Heavenly Father that you raised Jesus from the dead. He is alive and in Him we are victorious over sin, death and the grave.

Thank You for saving me heavenly Father and Holy Spirit for Your comfort and guidance in all things.

With all my heart, thank you Lord Jesus for saving me. In your name, I pray, Amen.

Please allow us to share the joy of your new birth with heaven. Heaven rejoices over each redeemed sinner. Luke 15:7.

PRAYER 14, Part 1 of 8

BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL! by The Gaither Congregation (Praise the Lord, together with us, won’t you?)

LORD, we are longing to draw near; may Thy Spirit draw us near. We come by the way of Christ our Mediator. We could not approach Thee, O our God, if it were not for Him, but in Him we come boldly to the throne of heavenly grace.

Nor can we come without thanksgiving — thanksgiving from the heart, such as the tongue can never express. Thou hast [have] chosen us from before the foundation of the world, and this well-head [fountain] of mercy sends forth streams of loving-kindness never ceasing. Because we were chosen we have been redeemed with precious blood.

Bless the Lord!

And we have been called by the Holy Spirit out of the world, and we have been led to obey that wondrous call which hath quickened [given new birth to] us and renewed us, and made us the people of God, given us adoption into the Divine Family.

Bless the Lord!.

[I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.]

ANECDOTE 243: The Trouble Within.

The wise man saith, [says] “As a bird that wandereth [wanders] from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.” It is not the box that makes the jewel, nor the place that makes the man. “Oh, but anywhere rather than this !” Yes, and when you get into the place you now covet [desire] , you will pine to be back again.

A barren tree is none the better for being transplanted. A blind man may stand at many windows before he will improve his view. If it is difficult to produce good works where you are, you will find it still difficult where you wish to be. He who said that he leaped so many yards at *Rhodes, [Ancient Olympic Games] was asked to do the same feat at home; surely the place could not take away his strength, nor give it to him. Oh, sirs, the real difficulty lies not without you, but within you.

*In ancient times there was a Roman saying: "Hic Rhodus, hic salta!"—

"Rhodes is here, [so] now perform your jump",

an admonition to prove one's idle boasts by deed rather than talk. It comes from an Aesop's fable called "The Boastful Athlete", and was cited by Hegel and Marx. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhodes

FAITH’S CHECKBOOK MARCH 31 PRESENCE OF MIND C.H. Spurgeon 1834—1892

-Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken [captive].

-Proverbs 3:25,26 -No tendras temor de pavor repentino, Ni de la ruina de los impios cuando viniere: Porque Jehova será tu confianza, Y el preservará tu pie de ser preso - Proverbios 3:25,26

When God is abroad [active] in judgments, He would not have His people alarmed. He has not come forth to harm, but to defend the righteous. He would have them manifest [show] courage. We who enjoy the presence of God ought to display presence of mind. Since the Lord Himself may suddenly come, we ought not to be surprised at anything sudden.

Serenity under the rush and roar of unexpected evils is a precious gift of divine love. The Lord would have His chosen display discrimination, [discernment] so that they may see that the desolation of the wicked is not a real calamity to the universe. Sin alone is evil; the punishment which follows thereupon is as a preserving salt to keep society from putrefying.

We should be far more shocked at the sin which deserves hell, than at the hell which comes out of sin. So, too, should the Lord’s people exhibit great quietness of spirit.

Satan and his serpent seed are full of all subtlety; but those who walk with God shall not be taken in their deceitful snares.

Go on, believer in Jesus, and let the Lord be thy confidence.

Prayer: Thank you, Father, that I don’t have to be afraid of sudden fear, nor of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes, For You, Lord shall be my confidence, and shall keep my foot from being captured. Your Peace which is beyond comprehension shall keep my heart and mind through the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, I do trust you to save and keep me. I believe you died in my place on the cross for my sins and that You were raised from the dead, victorious over death, sin, and the grave to give eternal life and Your righteousness to all that would believe in You. Thank You, Lord Jesus, Amen.

MORNING March 31

“With His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5

―Por su llaga fuimos nosotros curados. ―Isaías 53:5

PILATE delivered our Lord to the lictors [executioners] to be scourged . The Roman scourge [whip] was a most dreadful instrument of torture. It was made of the sinews of oxen, and sharp bones were intertwisted every here and there among the sinews; so that every time the lash came down these pieces of bone inflicted fearful laceration [cuts], and tore off the flesh from the bone. The Savior was, no doubt, bound to the column, and thus beaten. He had been beaten before; but this of the Roman lictors was probably the most severe of His flagellations [scourgings].

My soul, stand here and weep over his poor stricken body.

Believer in Jesus, can you gaze upon Him without tears, as He stands before you the mirror of agonizing love? He is at once fair as the lily for innocence, and red as the rose with the crimson of His own blood. As we feel the sure and blessed healing which His stripes have wrought in us, does not our heart melt at once with love and grief? If ever we have loved our Lord Jesus, surely we must feel that affection glowing now within our bosoms.

See how the patient Jesus stands,

Insulted in His lowest case!

Sinners have bound the Almighty’s hands,

And spit in their Creator’s face.

With thorns His temples gored and gashed

Send streams of blood from every part;

His back’s with knotted scourges lashed.

But sharper scourges tear His heart.”

We would fain [earnestly want to] go to our chambers [room] and weep; but, since our business calls us away, we will first pray our Beloved to print the image of His bleeding self upon the tablets of our hearts all the day, and at nightfall we will return to commune with Him, and sorrow that our sins should have cost Him so dear. ________________________________________

EVENING March 31

“And Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah, took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.” ―2 Samuel 21:10

―2 Samuel 21:10

IF the love of a woman to her slain sons could make her prolong her mournful vigil for so long a period, shall we weary of considering the sufferings of our blessed Lord? She drove away the birds of prey, and shall not we chase from our meditations those worldly and sinful thoughts which defile both our minds and the sacred themes upon which we are occupied?

Away, ye birds of evil wing! Leave ye the sacrifice alone! She bore the heats of summer, the night dews and the rains, unsheltered and alone. Sleep was chased from her weeping eyes: her heart was too full for slumber. Behold how she loved her children!

Shall Rizpah thus endure, and shall we start [freeze-up] at the first little inconvenience or trial?

Are we such cowards that we cannot bear to suffer with our Lord? She chased away even the wild beasts, with courage unusual in her sex, and will not we be ready to encounter every foe for Jesus’ sake? These her children were slain by other hands than hers, and yet she wept and watched: what ought we to do who have by our sins crucified our Lord?

Our obligations are boundless, our love should be fervent [intensely passionate] and our repentance thorough [all-inclusive].

To watch [stand] with Jesus should be our business, to protect His honor, our occupation, to abide by His cross our solace.

Those ghastly corpses might well have affrighted [frightened] Rizpah, especially by night; but in our Lord, at whose cross-foot [foot of the cross] we are sitting, there is nothing revolting, but everything attractive.

Never was living beauty so enchanting as a dying Savior.

Jesus, we will watch with Thee yet a while, and do [should] Thou graciously unveil Thyself to us; then shall we not sit beneath [be dressed in] sackcloth, but

[we shall sit] in a royal pavilion .

THE PILGRIM’S PROGRESS by John Bunyan

ORIGINAL: The Pilgrim’s Progress Part I  Published by Logos in 1853 from Bunyan's 1678 text.

REVISED VERSION PRINT: by Barry E. Horner: The Pilgrim’s Progrefs [sic] ©1999

The Pilgrim Progress is the world’s most widely published and most famous  Allegory .  It was commonly found among he scant possessions in the cabins of the early American Pioneers. It was loved and read, second only to the Holy Bible, God’s Word, of guidance, encouragement and comfort. It’s also considered, by some, to be the world’s first English novel and is the most published book of all time. other than the Bible. There were 1,300 editions printed before 1938, 250 years after the author's death. It remains one of the world’s most famous books.  In allegorical genre, it is unequalled.

Pilgrim’s Progress is referenced in many Spurgeon Sermons.

Here's one example:

Christ in you, the hope of glory.”—Colossians 1:27

Note: Spurgeon was taught to read at a very early age and read The Pilgrim’s Progress for the first time when he was six years old. He would return to re-read it over 100 times.  He made many reference to it in his sermons as Pastor of  The Metropolitan Tabernacle in London.

Excerpt from heading II. § 5 THE SWEETNESS OF THIS MYSTERY, WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU

"Christ in us is Christ reigning." reminds me [Spurgeon] of Mr. Bunyan’s picture in The Pilgrim’s Progress. of [the town of] Mansoul, …when the Prince Immanuel laid siege to it, and Diabolus from within the city strove to keep him out. It was a, hard time for Mansoul then; but when at last the battering rams [ancient weapons of war] had broken down the gates, and the silver trumpets sounded, and the prince’s captains entered the breach, then on a day the prince himself did ride down the city’s streets, while liberated citizens welcomed him with all their hearts, hung out all their streamers, and made the church towers rock again as the bells rang out merry peals [melodies], for the king himself was come. Up to the castle of the heart [main castle] he rode in triumph, and took his royal throne to be henceforth the sole lord and king of the city.

Christ in you is a right royal word. Christ swaying his scepter from the center of your being over every power and faculty, desire and resolve, bringing every thought into captivity to himself, oh, this is glory begun, and the sure pledge of heaven. Oh for more of the imperial sovereignty of Jesus; it is our liberty to be absolutely under his sway.

It will bless, strengthen, encourage and instruct pilgrims (readers and seekers) of all ages for a life-time.

Index of the 533 Scripture References cited in The Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan  1687

John Bunyan did not write or set forth any world view of any kind. His masterful allegory, demonstrably displays that God's Word does not support a world view at all but sets forth God’s view on every thing revealed and forever settled in heaven, The Holy Bible.

________________________________________

Bunyan merely, yet very ardently trusted in God’s Word; the God-breathed [divinely inspired], Self-authenticating, Providentially-protected immutable, inerrant, infallible, and inextinguishable written Word from GOD Himself. God, the omnipotent, omnipresent, righteous and Holy One, has breathed out His Word and has made His Word flesh in the birth of Jesus Christ. God’s Word is now, has always been and will forever be in perfect accord with Himself and the Spirit of Truth.

God’s infinite Love and Grace to redeem all fallen, hell-bound sinners who will look to Him is revealed by the sacrifice of His only begotten [fathered by God] Son, Jesus Christ.

The story inspiration given to Bunyan was in the form of a dream. Never the less, it imparts wisdom and may encourage soul-searching self-reflection to all pilgrims who seek redemption and eternal life. Many scripture references will  be captured and remembered from its reading [listening].

TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL SUPPORT  for March 31st  written  by Charles Haddon. Spurgeon

Who was (is) Charles Haddon Spurgeon

PRAYER 14, Part 1: BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL!

ANECDOTE 243: The Trouble Within.

FAITH’S CHECKBOOK: PRESENCE OF MIND

-Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken-Proverbs 3:25,26

MORNING: “With His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5

EVENING: “And Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah, took sackcloth, and spread it for her [herself] upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.” -2 Samuel 21:10

A SINNER'S PRAYER

He had been beaten before; but this of the Roman lictors was probably the most severe of His flagellations [scourgings].

vis. Textus Receptus [The Received Greek Text] (From the overwhelming majority of extant New Testament Greek manuscripts)

The Incomplete and unsealed codices of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are not majority texts, [Original Masoretic Hebrew and the Greek Textus Receptus]. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus present variant, ambiguous and erroneous readings rather than that of the well-established and settled texts. They disagree often with one another as well as with the settled majority texts. Thus, an attempt to create a pretext that will continue to justify a never-ending demand for additional editions and interpretations. These unsettled differences and bias in certain sectarian doctrine [dogma] have led to the production of multiple “modern” editions with ambiguities, many variant readings and confusion from the explosion of unending, new editions.

Profit-driven publishers have embraced such an economic windfall to sell a continual flow of “new and better” English edition of The Bible. They give too little attention to the fidelity and accuracy already settled [in heaven] in majority manuscripts of the Masoretic Hebrew and the  Greek Textus Receptus.

Psalm 119:89-90

ל Lamed

89 Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:

thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. [abides]

God, Himself, providentially protects and preserves His Word. His Word is the God-breathed, self-authenticating, immutable [unchanging and unchangeable], eternal, inerrant, infallible, infinite and all-powerful Word, settled in heaven. He is not the author of confusion.

MISSION STATEMENT:

… Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13

Our solemn aim is to trust and obey the Lord Jesus in everything. We must rely upon God entirely to achieve His purposes in us and through us.

Loving and worshiping God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength in Spirit and in truth is a labor of love and duty of every believer. Desire will grow stronger as we give ourselves to prayer, reading and meditating on God’s Word, gathering ourselves together to hear Gospel preaching, the singing of Psalms, sacred hymns and spiritual songs.

We purpose, with God’s help, to reach the lost, comfort, strengthen and encourage believers, and rightly divide God’s Word to proclaim the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ to every creature.

The Holy Bible is God’s eternal, inerrant, infallible, immutable revealed and divinely preserved Word. It is His completed scripture of all revealed truth. He brings guidance and the knowledge of His will to us personally and to each local body of Christian believers through His Word. With God’s help and empowerment, we will read, study, meditate-on, trust-in and obey God’s Holy Bible and encourage others to do the same. We hold it to be the supreme authority and the preeminent and divinely established precedent [Stare Decisis Latin: to stand by that which is decided, the legal doctrine of precedence, literally "to stand by decided matters"] in all things.

Therefore, the purpose of The John Mark Publishing Company is to publish the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature. And, to serve all, in love, especially those in the household of faith. We are compelled by this purpose to follow, and rightly apply and proclaim, God’s Holy Word, the Bible, as God’s divinely preserved truth; being the essential authority and goal of this ministry.

The Metropolitan Tabernacle: Home church of Charles H. Spurgeon

The preaching, teaching, soul winning and writings of Charles Haddon Spurgeon are firmly fixed on the bedrock of Holy Scripture. His entire ministry was established, empowered and inspired solely by God’s Holy Word imparted to him by the Holy Spirit. His written works continue to bless, guide, challenge and benefit today’s readers through the publication of his authentic Gospel sermons and other inspired writing His ministry continues to thrive and flourish today through the Metropolitan Tabernacle a church begun in 1650 The present building was constructed in 1861 and was rebuilt after the destruction caused during the second world war. This church has been steadfast in it’s adherence to Reformed Baptist theology that Spurgeon said was just a nickname for Biblical Christianity. They have resisted and continue to reject worldly winds of false doctrine, including pragmatism and self-centered “Christian hedonism”. Biblical Christianity will always show itself as a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, never just a philosophy or religion.

Mission Aim: Spurgeon's sermons and devotional messages have edified the church body and have been a great benefit, to all readers for many years. We pray they will be useful to strengthen personal discipleship in each and every believer and will be a useful instrument in the spreading of the Gospel [Good news] of Jesus Christ, the Messiah to all nations.

MISSION PURPOSE:

Our aim is to trust and obey the Lord Jesus Christ in everything. We rely wholly upon the Holy Spirit to impart God’s divine revelation to us from His Word, the Holy Bible. With God’s help, we will follow Jesus. We expect that lost souls will be saved, believers, comforted, strengthened and encouraged. To God be all the glory.

The Bible is God’s divinely inspired [God breathed] revealed, infinite, eternal, inerrant, infallible, immutable Word to all mankind. This divine, supernatural Word brings all revealed truth to the world. We purpose, therefore, to follow God’s Holy Word, Personal guidance and guidance to the local church comes by His Word.

Hence, we resolve, God helping us, to read, study, meditate-on, trust-in and obey God’s revealed and divinely preserved Word, holding it to be the supreme authority and the only divinely established Stare Decisis [Latin: to stand by that which is decided] in all things.

Therefore, the purpose of The John Mark Publishing Company is to publish and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature, ministering God’s love to all, especially those in the household of faith. The Bible is God’s everlasting, inspired, (God breathed) inerrant, infallible, unchangeable, divinely protected and preserved Word of love and salvation to the entire world. It is also the essential foundation of this ministry.

History: The inspired preaching, teaching and writing of Charles Haddon Spurgeon is all empowered by God’s revealed Word the Bible. His written publications continue to benefit readers through authentic Gospel preaching and sound biblical teaching. This ministry continues to flourish through The Metropolitan Tabernacle in London

Presented here are Spurgeon's writings for the edification of the church as well as for the benefit, blessing and gospel challenge to all readers. Our desire is that the written Word of God will become the Living Word in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ to each and every reader.

To this end, this website is offered to encourage and provide opportunity to hear Gospel preaching, and to engage in daily devotional meditation, Bible study and prayer. Careful adherence to Spurgeon’s calendar and original, unabridged text is given herein.

Prayer: Dear Lord, empower your ministry to win many souls, and serve those in need, especially those in the household of faith, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Disclaimer: The John Mark Publishing Company does not solicit praise of Charles H. Spurgeon or his writing or preaching. He didn’t need or want it then and wouldn’t desire it now. Our aim is to lift up and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to preach Christ Jesus only and him crucified.

Precaution: These Messages and prayers will not substitute for continual fellowship with the Lord Jesus or for gathering in in-person worship. Neither will they replace personal reading, meditation, prayer and fasting over God's divinely preserved and eternal Word imparted by the Holy Spirit.

The Authorized King James Version (AKJV), also known as the Authorized Version (AV), is the authentic English Bible because it is rendered [translated into English] accurately and faithfully from the established majority of the Greek Textus Receptus [received text] manuscripts of the New Testament and the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament (The Jewish Tanakh)  These manuscripts are providentially protected of God, and always give a greater glory to God when compared to variant readings. The established majority manuscripts avoid doctrinal error, inaccuracies in translation, uninspired editorial notations, variant or ambiguous readings taken from Codices Vaticanus, or Sinaiticus.

The Authorized King James version is distinguished also by the requirement of Great Brittan that all King James bibles be printed only by the Cambridge University Press, the Crown’s authorized printer. No other [person or publisher] may print, copy or import the King James Bible into Great Brittan by order of the Crown.

Printed Prayer: Printed prayers must not be read or offered as a substitute for personal, fervent, effectual, heart-felt, prayer. They are offered, rather, to warm the hearts of those who will presently seek a season of fervent, authentic two-way, heart-to-heart fellowship and prayer with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Authentic revelations from God during prayer are always consistent with His revealed Word, the Bible.

Philippians Chapter 4

1Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

2 I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow laborers, whose names are in the book of life.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. (sing-along)

5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth [strengthens] me.

14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.

22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Cæsar’s household.

23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
